I had the worst experience with this school. I was contacted for a teaching position. My first round was with HR, who was based in Mumbai/Pune and handling all interviews remotely. The interview went well. She asked me several detailed questions.
The second round was with the Subject Specialist and Head of the Programme, which also went well. Afterward, the HR representative messaged me on WhatsApp regarding the offer. Following a negotiation, she shared all the details via WhatsApp. There was no phone call to discuss the offer; all communication was conducted through WhatsApp. She then shared a revised quotation with an updated salary.
As the offer was reasonable, I requested one day to consider it. I accepted the offer, and the HR representative informed me that a final round with Management would be scheduled. I agreed.
After 34 days, I noticed the same vacancy posted on LinkedIn. When I asked HR about it, she stated that the posting was for a different curriculum. I accepted her explanation.
Two to three days later, I attempted to contact her via call and message, but received no response. She stopped replying entirely and ghosted me.
Prior to this, she had been calling frequently, at all hours, insisting that I respond quickly and stating that even one day was too long because they needed to close the vacancy urgently. This continued for 23 weeks. Now, there is no communication from her side.
This process wasted my time, energy, and effort. They extended an offer that included PF and other details, then disappeared without any explanation. The experience has been extremely disappointing.
HR representatives, like Ebenezer in this case, should understand the importance of valuing candidates time. One day, they may be in the same position when searching for a job. I hope they learn to respect others time and effort.
I urge candidates to think twice before engaging with organizations that demonstrate this type of culture, where time and effort are not valued.
