I booked a taxi from Easy Cabs on 15/06/09 at 7.57pm, for my trip from home to Hebbal on 16th June 09, at 08:15am. A person with good English replied and confirmed my trip with a SMS, providing the booking id.
On 16th June the next day morning(travel date), I waited for a call from their driver till 7:45 and when no call was received I called the call center!! When it was only 30 minutes to my trip, that too only when I called, to my surprise, they told me, there is no taxi for this service and this trip is canceled.? What can a passenger do if there is no other means for him? If this was early morning at 4:00 what alternative can a person find?
Taxi services have to be reliable. Most of the requirements are to go to Airport or to go to the nearest BMTC Volvo stop to Airport. As the Airport is a bit far from the city most of us will have to call taxi at odd hours. If taxi services are un reliable there is no option for travellers other than missing the flight for such a silly reason of a taxi operator. The taxi operators are required to be accountable if someone miss flight due to such negligence!
