4.5 hrs drive from Thane. Stayed in Prathamesh hotel. Hotel room was nice, spacious, with balcony, flat screen TV, generator backup, parking.
Food was ok, not much different than u get in Mumbai. But we tried some other dining places like Swayam(Patil) Khanawal, Bhatkar . They served great non veg food.
Beach is safe & very clean. You can drive & park right on the sand. Be careful & don't park/stop your car near water line. Many vehicles get stuck in wet sand. dry sand is quite stable & safe for parking your car.
From Diveagar we went to Harihareshwar. It's 35 km drive with narrow roller coaster like road. better avoided for night driving.
Harihareshwar: Don't mis the Pradakshina behinfd the temple. A small climb behind the Harihareshwar temple & then steep descend take to a narrow gorge. The rocks on both sides are eroded by waves & beautiful designs are formed.
