Dhoom is biggest & coolest film franchise brought to us by YRF which has Cool Thieves & Hot Cop chasing them till end. Dhoom 3 has been the most awaited film of the year, courtesy Mr. Perfectionist featuring as Antagonist with Barbie Doll Katrina….The film is longest among the 3 films of the series lasting 172 minutes. Film starts with Cool cop chase of Thief taken in the beautiful Chicago Downtown….This is followed by Chennai Express way of mediocre stunt to introduce our Hot Cop….Within 20 minutes you are left to wonder, will the money & time spent be worth it….
But as plot opens up & our heroine enters, pace picks up & by interval, one is left with shock & awe….Second half is great with good twists & turns, beautiful songs, good till the end courtesy tight script(although some stunts are bad)….Film ends with typical Dhoom way. Aamir again proves to be the game changer for movie. At the age of 48, for the crazy circus stunts & amazing acting, big big hats off to him.Katrina is under used but whatever presence she has, she just takes all the attention, her stunts are jaw dropping.
Junior Bachchan has the ordinary role(among the 3 films) while Uday pjs are somewhat tolerable(Good that he gave up acting)….Now obvious comparison, where does it stand among 3 Dhoom films - personal opinion is: On par with Dhoom 2 & definitely better than Dhoom 1. Rating: 2.5 stars for the script+ 1 star for amazing circus stunts, Aamir acting, cool stunts & beautiful songs= 3.5 stars out of 5. Film is definitely worth it a watch…Highly recommended…Dhoom Machale!
