I think its the worst theatre in Chennai right now. Same old booking format. Stand in a long q, the counter will open only half an hour b4 the show, lousy old type tickets. When other theatres offer online booking, SMS booking, any time booking. I think Devi is pathetic.
The seats are the best part. Free back pain gauranteed. And you will most probalbly tear your trousers, scratch you skin in those seats. You will wonder when the seat will collapse. Shaky, noisy and lousy. You will also get lots of bug bites. Comes for free anyway. Worst among any theatres.
That stinking smell you will get as soon as you enter the hall is striking. You will never miss that. The toilets. Public toilets are a 100 times better.
The snacks you will get is priced at par with the other good theatres in Chennai but the quality is nothing short of sh*t.
Parking is a night mare. At least 3 people will ask for the tokens. But the parking hell is much better than the experience you will get inside.
My advice to the audience. DO NOT VISIT DEVI.
My advice to the management. PLEASE CONVERT DEVI THEATRES TO DEVI MARRIAGE HALLS.
