I recently bought this model 'On line' directly from Dell. Slot Load 8X max DVD+/-RW Drive6 with DVD+R double layer write capability player, doesn't allow load mini compact disc....some additional hardware drivers now-a-days come with mini CD.
Very poor quality of sound from internal speaker. Could have included carrying bag as standard instead of charging Rs.2300/ extra...that too back bag...not suitable for executives! Technical support and replacing parts not available even in city like Chennai....only on line technical support...for any defective part, Laptop has to be sent to Dell's factory!!
Should have more battery life. The ati cards suck a lot of power so it tends to heat up a lot under the touch pad area at the base. Touch screen would distinguish dell laptops from others.
I spoke to their Top Technical executive and he assured to improve. So wait until they are ready with all the required improvements. Price around Rs.60, 000/- all inclusive.
