I bought Dell Inspiron 15R, jan 2011. Have had no issues ever since. However during my travel last month, spilled quite a bit of water on it.
To my horror, the set just collapsed.Now start looking for the warranty papers, I was away from home and the piece bought from Mumbai Vijay sales. Seemed quite bad and upset for being care less to lose the invoice, etc. Traced the credit card sale and called up Vijay sales, without wasting time they assured you can have a copy from their outlet by just informing my cell no. to them.Pronto.I had the invoice as well directions to the nearest service centre.
Reaching the Dell service centre Lokhandwala, the tech took 15 mins n declared the motherboard is faulty and same will be repaired free of cost.Amazing news for me.Wondering all the time they might void the warranty as spilllage of water etc.
I requested them if I could have same in 4 days as I was leaving the country. Assured they will try their best and sure enough same delivered a day before in an absolute mint condition.
Thats what speaks volumes for the service centre. Sure will recommend it to one and all.
Better care for customers than spend millions on advertising.
