Darjeeling is a very nice place, I visited there in july. great peaceful place, I stayed there for 5 days, visited every monastery, Zoo, Temples, Markets of Darjeeling.
Mall road is the main place, Darjeeling is connected to siliguri or new jalpaiguri, and these two places are connected via train, bus, plane from every part of India, you will find great hotels there, you will get packages as you reach any of the two stations.
Darjeeling is a safe place, the natives are very much helpful, I will once again visit to darjeeling someday.
I always cherish my days in darjeeling.
