I love it. Review on d2h

I was looking for a cheap cable tv service with good pic quality for my lcd tv. I opted for local cable tv subscription but it was too poor. I then decided to go for Tata Sky, but found it too costly. I didn't want to spend 400-450 rs a month for it. Then I decided to go for either of Dish Tv or Airtel. Videocon was the new entrant into the market and there were almost no reviews.

My friend was having dish tv and told me not to go for it as the customer service is very bad. I didn't wanna go for Reliance as the whole world knows how bad customer service they have. Reliance believes in getting new customers and they don't care for existing customers. So, finally it was a toss between airtel and not too popular videocon.

Luckily in my office in Mohali Punjab, they installed airtel dth on philips 42'' lcd tv. And the display is worse than my local cable tv operator. So, finally I went for videocon dth dvd set top box. I had one thought in my mind that even if the service is too bad, I would at least have a dvd player.

From day one, I have been thanking my luck that somehow I choose the correct and cheap option. it costs me 275 per month and has almost all the channels. The pic quality is clear, the audio is good. and I can assure that the pic quality and audio is comparable to tata sky.

There are some issues still like the remote control and the GUI are too poor, it's probably been designed by a novice. Also, it doesn't work in slightest rains, but then none of the tata, reliance, airtel or anywhere in the world any dth works in rain. I checked the same on google and everyone around the world complains the same. anyway in Chandigarh it doesn't rain a lot.

Also, tata sky has some channels which I didn't even hear of before. You can check it's platinum package and compare videocon gold pack.

I would recommend anyone to go for videocon except if u have money then go for tata sky. else rest of the ones are cheaters.

Also, I have had some issues with videocon dth in the past, like my set was not working. the customer care gave me a resolution date of over a month. but the issue was resolved in 2 days.
