The men in blue

The men in blue ! huh !! a sorry sight for such a cricket crazy nation ,that in spite of such a big amount of money being invested in the game , the players r not able to perform to their (on paper) abilities ....

You know what I feel , there should be a contract system at the time of selecting the players . this would help in gr8 many ways , as the players would b assured of there position in the team for a definite period . and this assurance of stability helps them to put aside all the worries and concentrate on the game !

Today what is actually happening is , that a player is selected on the basis of his performance in the domestic tournaments , or due to political favor (a better option ). and after selection , the player is mainly concerned with his stability in the team . and these off-field worries play an important role on the performance of the person on-field .these issues create a lot of pressure on the youngsters entering the game .

How do we expect a youngster to cope up with such extreme pressures ?? though some might say it's a test of character ( how foolish )...

I hope the selectors realize this mistake soon enough , and devise ways to remove these anomalies......

hoping for the best
