Can't Provide the Hotels Showing on Their Website. Review on Cleartrip

I booked a hotel (Suhasini Palace, Mysore) using cleartrip.com for 13th to 14th October. Cleartrip has taken the money and sent me mail confirmation with trip ID. Luckily I called the hotel to check some amenities and that time hotel gave me heads up saying your booking has not been confirmed yet and the same has been informed to cleartrip but I didn't get any communication from cleartrip.

Next day I called cleartrip to know the status and they misguided saying they didn't got any confirmation from hotel, they assured me that cleartrip back-end team will sincup with hotel and resolve this issue, else they will provide alternate hotel.

By the time cleartrip resolved the issue I had lost 3 days and due to Dussehara festive season in Mysore during my stay, all the good hotels got full or their rates went gone up. Cleartrip left me with no other option but to accept the alternate option they provide. In spite of the fact that the alternate hotel was inferior than the booked hotel, I had to take the option.

After 3days of regular follow up and headache I ended up in low category hotel. I used cleartrip thinking that its a travel agency and it will ease my load by helping me in selecting good cost effective hotel. but it turned into a nightmare.

*Please don't use cleartrip, because they don't have any tie-up with hotels they show on their website. This is prooved as the hotel I booked(Suhasini Palace) and which cleartrip is not able to provide is still showing in their search list. However Hotel Roopa (which they provided as alternate option) was not showing in search list.*

I am afraid if would need to cancel my trip to Mysore.
