Story:

Melanie Adams is a top television news broadcaster in NewYork covering the

reality stories. Dr. Peter Hallam is a heart surgeon in Los Angeles

fighting the odds of people's lives, transplanting new lives. With a broken

marriage behind her, a demanding career and the responsibility of her two

kids, Melanie has no room for another man till she meets Peter, a widower

and father of three children. On one of Melanie's news assignments, she

meets Peter and then on, both fall in love. And as a love story should

progress, they get married.

But changes come about after the marriage, changes that they make to get

settled together in a family. How they strive to unite the two families

3000 miles apart (in NewYork and LosAngeles) into one. With five children

now, a bigger house to run, and their respective careers, both have a lot

to manage. The story reflects on the life of Melanie who, with such a flashy

job, struggles for the sake of love and even gives up her independence- she quits her job at NewYork.

The difference of opinion on making compromises between Melanie and Peter also loom large. While Melanie gives her whole and soul into the marriage, tries her best to fit his lifestyle, takes good care of his children too, Peter?s sticking to the past , more attention to his kids alone and not giving Melanie the appreciation she deserves disheartens Melanie.

The story also shows the kind of challenges, joy and pain the kids give to the

parents. The clash of their careers is nothing compared to the storm of emotions that springs when all five children have to share the same home and a whole new set of rules. The family discord is more than Melanie can cope with and so she finally quits the home, pregnant and feeling desperately hurt and lonely.

Will the children come to their senses and bury their differences? And will Peter finally let go of his past and make the needed compromises, or risk losing Melanie forever? Will Melanie and Peter together pull through these problems? Will love conquer it all?
