I saw this movie on video for the first time the other week. I was actually surpised how good the actors were since I had never heard any of them. I was also suprised about their dancing skills. The dances were all beautifully performed.
The plot was entwined with a little of everything. Romance, love, and eating disorder, and defeat. It shows how freindships can be formed and broken. This movie was worht the few bucks to rent but, since hubby doesn't like ballet it wouldn't have been worth a theatre ticket.
I will say that this movie is maybe geared to a teen audience but, dancers will love it. As well as ballet lovers of any age.
