We decided to spend our Diwali break(2008) in Goa and after doing a bit of research on the internet, decided to stay at Casa de Goa, Calangute.
We reserved a suite for 4 days @ Rs 3800 per day. Queries regarding room availability, method of payment, booking confirmation were sent through email and were replied promptly.
We were given a pool-facing suite which was nice. The pool was well maintained and the room was clean. All electronic appliances worked properly. The complimentary breakfast had plenty of options. Room service was prompt and efficient.
The hotel is at least 20 minutes away from the beach on foot. The road leading to the hotel had poor lighting, which meant that we had to walk in the dark at stretches when we returned after dinner. There's a shortcut to the beach, but it can only be used during the daytime.
The staff was courteous and friendly but for some strange reason, failed to provide enough information on sightseeing.
