Someone that I have never known took a vehicle loan from this company and gave them my mobile number as his own contact number.
Now I have been using the same number for the past 8 years and the loan might have been taken not more than 6 months back.
I started receiving intimations about EMI to be paid before due date via SMS, one in English and one in Marathi. At first I ignored it but when they kept on coming I searched for a contact on their website and emailed them about my concern.
I explained them the problem through a long mail trail and at least twice over a call. Each time I was assured that the problem would be resolved and I would no longer get any SMSs but nothing happened.
When I again followed up, I was told that the person who has taken the loan gave my number as his contact number and I was asked if I could provide the correct contact number of that person ??????
Overall, being a financial institute, the most basic verifications were expected from them but seems that they do not verify even if the contact number of the applicant is correct.
Looks like a scam to me. No wonder if I see their name in the headlines of the news having committed scams worth lakhs (wont say crores looking at how pathetic they are)
