Canon powershot Sx500 IS is basicly a point and shoot camera with 16 megapixel resolution. The 30x optical zoom and image stabiliser makes it much easier to use it when you are taking a long distance shoot & the additinal 60x digital zoom plus also gives a good result of long distance photography. Play with ISO range of 100-1600. Basic low light photography is also possible with it by using a tripod. Plenty of presets also available , such as fireworks, portraits, night , macro etc. its comer in bet'n rs 12k-13k. thumbsup for beginners.
