Hi, Bought Canon A95 around 8 months back for ~$250 from USA. Got it to India with me and have been happy with its performance. Best part is that it has a rotatable LCD screen which makes taking your own close-up very easy. You can make movies with it of good quality.

Frankly speaking, its a complex camera and you really need to spend good time with it to make the best out of it. I have not been able to study it and hance have not been making full use of its immense features.

The picture quality is good. Comes with very good s/w and interface to download your work on PC. Best part is that it works with 4 AA cells which makes it easy to use anywhere.

The maintenance given by Canon USA is very good. Due to my mistake, I had spoiled its memory card connector by accidently trying to insert the card in the wrong direction. It could have been repaired in India but I preferred to send to send it back to USA to get it repaired under warranty. And they made the camera new without even charging anything. I just had to pay for courier to send it to Canon factory.

Slightly on the bulkier side but the good and huge number of features outweighs that negative point.

Surely a good Buy!
