It takes great pictures and is easy to use, however my camera only lasted 8 months.
I took it to get repaired under warranty and after examination they said it was water damaged.
I explained that it has never been exposed to water, never used near water and never exposed to rain. I have had cameras for 20 years and with this camera I was always very careful in using it and ensuring it was covered and stored correctly.
Unfortunately, Cannon refused to believe me and said the cost of repairs would be greater than the cost of the camera. I can only assume any damage was caused by humid conditions and therefore a design fault of this model is that it is not suitable to be used in these conditions. Therefore it is not really suitable for outdoor use in India as it turns out to be a very expensive camera if they last only 8 months.
