Damn good. Review on BSNL EVDO

I am working as a S/W engineer in banagalore.

I require an internet connection so thought of calling couple of friends before contacting any ISP provider. But I googled reviews for "BSNL" , "AirTel", "Reliance" and "TataIndicom". I landed up in mouthshut .com and read some reviews on all of the above ISP providers. I concluded that "AirTel" and "BSNL" are better than remaing. So, i went to "AirTel" office and enquired about internet connection. They told that I would be informed after 3-4 days. Finally they said, there is no internet facility at my house. Then I decided to opt for "BSNL". Most of my friends suggested "BSNL" is O.K, but they had been saying, to get an internet connection, BSNL takes atleast a month.

Even though I decided to go for BSNL as I have no other choice. One fine day I went to BSNL customer care office (B.T.M first stage) and enquired for internet connection. They said I should have a landline connection before going for internet facility. So I applied for both landline and internet connection at the same time. To my surprise, after 15 days from the date of application, BSNL person came and installed a land line conncection in my house. I thought to get an internet connection I should wait for few more days. But within 4 days they installed modem and gave me the internet access. So they took 20 days to get everything.

I have opted for 256 kbps (and UL 750 Plus, Type 2 modem).As per my friends, the download speed would be 50kbps max. To my surprise I am able to download movies @ 250 kbps. I am using Bitcomet software to download movies.

I am very much satisfied with BSNL service. For the past one month I have been using internet connection without any break.

I am enjoying wireless connectivity provided by BSNL (Type 2) modem. I think waiting for 20-30 days to get a very good internet connection should not be a problem at all. I strongly recommend all of you to go for BSNL broadband connection.

I made a mistake in writing this review under BSNL EVDO. I don't know how to move this review to different section.

Recently, I moved from B.T.M to Marthahali and had to wait for 3 weeks time to get the connection shifted. Except 2-3 hours, there has been no down time in internet connection.
