The service of BSNL is almost as good as that of the other service providers and their rates for roaming and STD are the cheapest by far. They have pulse rate of 30 seconds for prepaid and 15 seconds for post paid which is great news for subscribers.
However in Visakhapatnam there is scarcity of SIM cards because of which the same is being sold in black by resellers and hence request the authorities to look into the matter.
The network coverage is good in the remote areas but there is a problem in the main city. Sometimes there is congestion problema nd the calls drop. However overall the service is upto the mark and better than what one expects of government enterprises.
However one problem for prepaid users. The SMS charges are not deducted immediately but once in a week or fortnight leading to the balance suddenly going negative. So would be great if they can update their billing software
