I have been using BSNL prepaid connection EXCELsince its inception. I feel that the service is good and coverage wise its much more than any other service provider in India.
This is because as a public sector BSNL is mainly looking into the service of the customer but not into revenues earned by the service but the private operators are mainly worried about the revenues earned than the service to the nation.
The only problem with BSNL I think is the customer service. The call centers which handles the customer service are not as professional as the private service providers. If it can improve on this part then it is the best service provider in INDIA. But I think this will take some time as it has to come out of the public sector feel which it has got from last so many years.
As a whole BSNL is good service provider and less costlier but only with the exception that of customer service. And also it is the first public sector for which the customer is waiting not the public sector is waiting for customers like others
