Hi I have been using the BSNL Prepaid Card for quite some time now. Its always been a value for money and the cheapest available prepaid till now.
I managed to obtain a card through a relative in BSNL. Yes getting a BSNL Prepaid SIM Card has been very difficult these days. I have observed this problem for the last 9 to 10 months. There is tremendous shortage of this card in the market, since there are people who queue up and try taking these cards in bulk and try selling this in black. The cost of a single SIM has even gone up to a mind boggling 6000 Rs. in the grey market. Its actual worth is just 200 bucks with which we get a 50 Rs talk time initially for a week. We can then re-charge it with different attractive options.
I have found the 500 Rs. re-charger the best. It has a talk time of 400Rs (pretty decent). It can be used for 45 days for outgoing and incoming and then after that for another 15 days for just incoming. Hence an effective 60 days usage, which is 2 months. You can send SMS during that time.
The rates are very cheap and the service is good. I have used this card in multiple States such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh and have found the network availability fantastic.
