You have to buy a new toner, every time you want to refill your ink. I have been using this printer from the past ten months and yes now I have got to know the reality of brother printers. The biggest drawback is that you cannot refill the toner of this printer, you have to buy another new toner from brother and if you refill the toner or buy a third party toner the warranty gets void. If you get the toner refilled from outside, they will ask you for the invoice of a new toner for your printer and if you don't have the invoice for a new toner you cannot claim the warranty. So it has a worse service.
