Are they really helping us?. Review on Bombay Police

I'm writing this because I had a very bad experience in the police station.  My cellphone got stolen while travelling by bus. Since the area where my cellphone got stolen was under Powai Police station, I went to that Police station to file an FIR. There they simply refused to write an FIR. After requesting several times, they forced me to write a letter in which they mentioned my cellphone to be lost instead of being stolen. Moreover, they also added that they will not find the phone or take any effort to find the phone. Without filing an FIR how can they find out the thieves.

Now, friends tell me aren't these Police making the mobile thieves more free to steal the things? The worst part is they are simply saying that we are not going to take any effort to find ur phone. With this kind of attitude, the thieves will become fearless and more powerful to loot u. Better have some bodyguards with u friends!
