Billu barber is a remake of malayalam super hit film katha parayumbol. First of all, the tough part-comparing the remake with the original.the Malayalam version was a simple movie made on a very small budget.what worked in its favor was a good script and excellent acting by all the actors.the simplicity of the film was the highlight .
When it comes to billu, the main problem is that the movie has been turned into a big budget and relies heavily on the sharukh khan impact. the story and all other performances are not given enough importance.it turns out to be a khan movie though khan is donning a guest role.
Irfan khan has done a good job.he delivers as usual.the body language and mannerisms are a treat to the eye.there are very few actors in the bollywood industry who are talented like irfan khan.but whether his talents got overshadowed by the king khan influence is something to be debated. lara dutta is average, doesn't look like a villager .
