BIG TV: Cool. Review on Big TV

I am from Bangalore and following are my experience with BIG TV.

After few research and analyze, mostly using net, finally I decided to go for BIG TV. The reason being for this is, More channels, Good price, DVD quality picture and sound (though I have seen lots of -ve feed back on net, everywhere I found picture and sound quality is good ) and obviously latest technology - MPEG4.

I compared Dish TV, TATA Sky, Airtel digital TV and local cable operator and I found BIG TV is cheaper and has all the channels really I wanted.

Last Thursday, around 10:30AM I bought BIG TV connection (STB and vouchers) from a retailer and immediately raised an installation request with less hope that the installation will be done immediately.

Even due to lots of -ve feedback for BIG CC and installation request timelines - I directkly called CC and told the same. He told we are also getting this feedback and now we have solved this issue and if you buy today morning mostly it will be installed same day. Also he told it is depends on area where you living.

Surprisingly I got a call from reliance technician

around 1:30 PM the same day that he will come for installation around 3:00 PM. He came exactly 3:00 PM and everything over by 4:15 PM.

As I expected the picture quality was too good also the sound quality is descent.

Only the cons I can tell is the channel changing time is little slow..(however I found the same issue for Tata sky)..and let me tell you ..I am usign an DTH service first time in life, may be this is a usual case of all DTH. Also sometimes channels are disappearing and coming back. Once I called CC for the same issue and he asked me to hold on power switch of ST for few times and then try..after I did like this it came back.

So far I am happy with service and I would like to recommend BIG TV. I will keep you update my experience here.
