It is a great place of Culture, heritage, sculpture, arts... it goes like that...
This place is beyond one imagination, most of the time it is very difficult to understand the sculpture itself.... and there are thousand of them each having different expressions... one Called TRIBANGI NARI is the famous which has three different postures for one figure... today what we talk if Miss World or Ms Universe has been told ages back here...
Vail carved for one of the sculpture is one of the greatest master piece....
Nice place to go for weekend, two more places near by Halebed and sharavanabelagola.... if you are young crowed then u can make all the three places, families can go to belur and halebed...
not recommended to go in summer... very hot... winter or rainy season is the right time to go...
well connected by road from Bangalore, 4 hrs drive from Bangalore for self drivers....
weekend trips it is good...
