This is one of my favorite places to find inner peace. At all times of the year it is accessible. Just opposite to Dakshineswar Temple, this place can be reached by boat, launch, train, bus or car. Around 6 pm starts the Sandhya Arati and then comes pure bliss. We can sit in or near the main hall and hear the Saints singing the Arati.
It is just beside river Ganga and there flows a cool breeze always, adding a calm to this place. Religious books, cds, pictures are also available in a shop within the premises. During the Durga pujas specially it is full of people.
That is not the best time of the year to visit here. Several shops are available outside the premises selling religious materials, good food, etc. Best time to visit this place is in the evening and when there is no special religious occasion.
