I remember my school days, when my entire family uses to go to Bata for purchasing the shoes. The shoes were good and lasted a good amount of time, say a year or so.
Things are different now.
Bought Hush Puppies brand bata shoes. I had thought that they would last at least a year, behold, they lasted for 10 whole months, the leather upper got worn out in one month and sole cracked, for both shoes.
Another pair that I had bought for my daughter did not even last one month, its upper cracked within one month. When complained to the Bata dealer, he promptly replaced my daughter shoes but not mine, as they still were under warranty and he was of the opinion that only 25% of amount was refundable.
Post this have checked with few of my friends too, they too have experienced bata products not producing quality products, compared to other brands.
So, remember not to buy Bata shoes, even premiun range including Hush puppies,.
Try to buy shoes of other brands, at least there would be quality department have checked the durability of shoes. Remember not to buy Hush Puppies brand, if you have to buy , do check for year and month of maufacter, and buy only those shoes that are manufactered with in last six months only.
