LET THE WINDS BLOW!!!!!!!

Hi guys this is my 1st review so don’t mind if I make any mistakes. Ok. Lets begin. I’m a student of engineering F.E. about a 2 weeks ago I was using kinetic Honda dx. Now I have wind125 and believe me its great!!!!

Why did I change the vehicle? My daily running was more than 35kms considering that my college is 12kms away. My kinetic gave a meager of 30kms/ltr. So u can see I was spending a lot on petrol. Also, I found the seating position on kinetic terrible and had frequent backaches. It being 13 years old gave lots problems too.

My needs while buying the new vehicle-1) good mileage for its corresponding power, 2) comfortable ride and good seating position 3) not a racing machine nor a tortoise but a good bike for city conditions 4) looks, service etc.

Now how did I choose wind? – my options were- wind, caliber115, fierof2, ambition, passion+. Pulsar was far too powerful and didn’t have good mileage. Anyways I didn’t like its big big tank. I’m 5.6” and it was really not comfortable on it. Splendor is archaic machine and the new + doesn’t have any extra stuff except headlamp. I hate the looks of TVS . the mileage was good but the power was less. Finally I squared on wind considering cost( less than ambi), mileage, ( good for its power), power, ( more than cali, passion, almost same as ambi), riding position ( best of all), looks too. And most imp the service station is right in front of my house.

THE BIKE- it has been a week since its delivery. The odometer reads 170 kms. I calculated the mileage. ITS 63.2KMS/LTR. During this period the speed was mostly in 40’s and 30’s and in 4th and 3rd gear respectively. My road included lots of slope, ups, downs, stops, etc. if u know pune’s traffic and senapati bapat road and the road to VIT college, u might get the idea.

No problems in bike uptill now.. The gear box is smooth and no false neutrals. Infact u might be surprised to see such a great gearbox from bajaj. U can start the bike in any gear.

The gear ratios are more suited to city conditions. U can beat anybody. The bike runs at a speed of 30kms/hr even in 4th gear. The pickup great comparable to pulsar. Riding position is best. No backaches. U can ride all day along. Instrumentation console looks great in night when the lights are on. Halogen lamps are simply superb. The bike is absolutely noiseless even at low speeds but on the up gradient run produces some noise. Silent chain is something new.

The horn needs some adjustment. It’s a little awkward. Kerb weight is well balanced.

ON THE WHOLE IF U NEED A BIKE FOR CITY CONDITIONS WHICH HAS GOT GOOD MILEAGE, GOOD POWER, GOOD RIDING POSITION AND U WANNA EXPERIENCE THE WINDS, WIND125 IS FOR U!!!!!!!
