Ayodhya , also known as Saket an ancident of India , belived to de birthplace of Rama and setting of the epic of Ramayana. It is adjacement to Faizabad city at the south end in the city of Indian state of utter pradesh situated on the bank of Saryu river. Some135 km east ok Lucknow. Ayodhya was called Saket in ancident times.Ayodhya finds mention in sevral legends and stories including the epic Ramayana.

India's biggest festival Diwali can be traced back to Ayodhya when the entier city glittered with clay lamp towelcome the victorious Rama who returned home after slaying Ravana. It is one of the most frequented pligrims sports and famous for its various temples which are visited by the list of the best places visited in Ayodhya.
