I'm a customer of UTI Bank for more than 8 years now and have visited a couple of branches all over India. What I felt is their overall service is good but I think they are a bit slow in everything. They need to speed-up their process. They will solve issues but will take some time to do so. One important point I've noted is, it all depends on the branch and the kind of stuff and representatives they have. Good Banks with poor stuffs sucks. Before starting banking with UTI Bank, just try to get some idea about the branch and its culture.
Once I was in Jamshedpur in 2000 and I needed some cash out of their ATM but due to satelite link problem the machine cannot dispence any money. I reported the branch manager about the problem and my need. The manager asked me to fill up a withdrawal slip and wait for a while. He faxed the doc to my branch and within 15 min I got my money from that branch. I was really surprised. So again what I felt is, it all depends on the quality of stuff in a particular branch.
I'm thinking of taking a home loan from them and will share my experience with you all.
