The Autodesk is very old company and the AutoCAD is the software of this company which is generally used for 2D drafting and sometimes for 3D work.The AutoCAD is good software for the 2D drafting.It have a good user interface which makes the drafting work very easy and attractive.I am a civil engineer and I know the usefulness of this software in reality.
The software is very easy to use and by using normal commands and some clicks whole drafting work will be completed.The autocad provides many tools for drafting and it provides many dimensions, calculation of the dimensions and areas and many more.The software is very easy to use.The company provides regularly upgrades and each upgrade is very useful.The autocad is not for only drafting work but it can be use for 3D drawings but generally architects are use it only for drafting work and for 3D work they use StaddPro and many other softwares.It can be useful for also Electrical, Mechanical branches of the engineering also.
The software installation process is very easy and same as normal software.The software is very heavy and it consumes high area of the PC.So, for smooth working in this software a higher RAM and Processor of the high quality is must.
The software have very good functions and this have all needed tools and function in itself.The software have many output file options like PDF, JPEG, JPG etc.So, the output file can be stored according to use and need.The software is very accurate and clear in design and dimensions.
