I bought a iPhone 6 and in little over an year back, the mic started malfunctioning and I could barely hear the caller. This week I gave my iPhone 6 to the authorized Apple Service center in Chennai(Imagine) and the results were that MIC is not working, which is what I also expected. But post that they issued me a quotation saying they cannot replace the MIC and willing to replace the iPhone 6 for Rs. 24, 629(enclosed quotation).
The defect is with Apple's product and while the device might be out of warranty the least a customer would expect is that the part would be replaced at a nominal cost and the device would be returned in a better shape. Unfortunately Apple does not have any such policy and it is shocking that the iPhone that you love is left to your stars. If there is any malfunctioning you don't have any choice but to dump the phone.
This is pathetic service from a global brand like Apple.
Just wanted to caution the buyers who crave for Apple products. It is only good as long as it lasts and nobody has any control on this. Just hope you have some good luck.
