And the mountains echoed, by Khaled Hosseini, is not as good as the other two books of his- Thousand splendid Suns and The Kite Runner.
After reading The Kite Runner, I had high expectations from the book before starting it. But eventually my hopes faded as I continued into the book.
After reading the first chapter, I had expected the book to be mainly based on the long lost brother Abdullah, and his sister, Pari.
But as we continue reading the book, we see involvement of new characters about whose life, the author pens everything, but it's absolutely unnecessary.
A bit more of excitement and beauty was expected. But nothing like that happened. Many questions were left unanswered.
Though the style of narrating, and the writing is beautiful and at times, bring tears to ones eyes, the book is not satisfying at all.
