I have had an account with Amazon.in since 2010. It was mostly used for sending gifts to friends and buying books. I usually topped it up with the purchase of a gift card very 6 months ago. Amazon has now set up Amazon.in and over the last year made it all but impossible to purchase books through Amazon.in.The site would not even show the prices and automatically referred me to Amazon.in .au .Eventually I was forced to migrate the account . I had a balance in my Amazon.in account and that was the problem. I cannot use the balance to buy books. I can not use the funds to purchase a gift card for a friend .it was my very bad experience.thankq.
