I feel I shouldn't complain because this is regarding a free voucher. But I really need to vent a bit since I got quite the run around. So I got a voucher I won via a contest. I got a gift card, just to give you the idea:( It looks like a credit card.
I went to my nearest mall (20 mins away) Selected clothes, searched through for 30 mins, tried them on etc. After selecting a few clothes I went to the billing section, the guy told me this voucher requires some password & after making a few calls he said sorry can't do it here. Go to another AS store. Sadly, I left.
After 2 days I went to another AS store at HyperCity (15 mins away) There they told me sorry can't buy products at our store because it's a "franchisee store". I mean, it's still Allen Solly whether it's a franchisee or not. It's not like I'm giving them some other brands gift card. Disappointed, I left from there.
Then, after 1 week I went to another mall (30 mins away), even there they said it can't be done. I lost my cool & told them to contact the manager, so he did. After making me wait for about 30 mins he said it can be done here. Relived I selected the clothes & mind you they dont have much variety plus its very expensive. Then after selecting my clothes he tried redeeming the gift card but couldn't due to a computer issue. As it was already closing time he told me to come tomorrow.
After running around 3 times, I finally went for the 4th & last time & got it done. Phew! I got just 3 items & had to pay an extra Rs 300.
