I had been a long time customer of Airtel, but it is now clear that their service has seen better days.
I had been facing several network issues(call drops, poor indoor signal everywhere in Blr, appearing as switched off to callers, low 3G speeds.)
And the situation has remain unresolved for several months now. The customer service is of little help because -
1) They never understand what the issue is and have their own interpretation
2) Each time you have to explain the whole thing to the new person as they somehow fail to understand the issue from the open ticket
3) A written complaint to Bellandur Airtel CSC was never responded to last month and I had to revert to the customer services last month.
It was suggested by the Airtel executive that I change my SIM card, which I promptly did at my expense. But this did not improve the situation.
Bizarrely, they suggested that I change the SIM yet again at my expense, which I refused. They even blamed my phone(which I took to the service centre to ensure that there were no issues with it).
Finally, after several follow-ups for a SR raised on Nov 22nd 2014, they sort of gave up on me on 4th Dec 2014 and declared that they would take up my "feedback" "for future network planning & optimization"(see attached).
A tacit admission, perhaps that all is not well, with their network and that nothing will be done regarding my complaint, leaving me with no other option than to change my service provider.
