"Feeling like Betrayed" - Dont use Airtel Services

I dont intend to spoil any Brand/Service nor I have any rivalry aginst. I am a comman end user expressing the pain of feeling betrayed for a service that I buy at primium.


I was using BSNL prepaid/Hutch earlier, I sitched over to Airtel as one of the sales person told me about the corporate plan and also assured me to get me a number of my choice,


When I filled the form & paid the money to get the same , I did not get any preferred number & carried on as it was not on my priority list, I was seeking for a good newtork coverage & service. Finally after a lot of running around , raising my blood pressure, spending hours speaking to concerned people I got my number activated,


When I started using my number things were fine initally & I got my bills for a month which were around at 10% premimum than that of my prior connections , I did not bother of it beacuse 10% hardly mattered as was earning enough to spend on brand that are being advertised by AR Rehman, Sachin Tendulkar & Many big celebrities.


Things started getting worst day after day as I started facing problem in Voice clarity , Sending Text messages, Billing for GPRS tough I did not own a hand sent that will utilise GPRS (I was using Nokia 1100), when I used to follow up with customer care for hour to geather & burn lot of my blood explaining them time and again about my problems for every call I made to them, I sensed there was no system with them to track a complaint of the customer.


I was charged Rs 800 for a some 8 SMS that I sent reqesting for GPRS , I was clear that I did not do the same as I mentioned earlier that I was using a nokia 1100, which makes no sense for me. After a lot of "Hallo Hooo", I got htings sorted out & finally decide to cancel my connection , the same story continued as thet did not cancel it immeditely & had kept it activated for months & went on charging me the bill for the same.


Finally the offered me a discount for next 6 months of 15% to carry on with my connection, but by the time I was highly regreting for choosing AIRTEL as the service provider, I some how managed to cancel the connection at the price of 3 months rentel which I did not use, Airtel didnot even refunded me my Deposit,


My feeling after all this excersise was a good as " Some coming to you and snatching money at gun point else threatning to harm". I term them as "WHITE COLLERED MAFIA", Friends I think most of us experince these & dont have any option but to live with it. please think very seriously on spending your hard earned money,
