Airtel's crooked ways of earning money. Review on Airtel Mobile Operator

I have an airtel connection in tamilnadu. I get about 5 unwanted calls from airtel advertising for their caller tunes and other services. Often without my having subscribed to any particular service, I get an sms from airtel saying "thank you for subscribing to this service" like cricket commentaries, caller tunes etc. Then I have this harrowing time trying to call customer service(not easy to get to talk to human) or spend for smses to deactivate a service I never activated!

I am seriously thinking of changing to idea or Vodafone with number portability and be free from disturbances from airtel. I don't recommend airtel tamilnadu to anyone. Now I have started getting calls and smses regarding some friends chat etc. which I never subscribed to! they bother me with many calls in the day and strange smses saying"please don't disturb me" etc. This kind of thing can get someone into serious trouble if you have a jealous partner or suspicious parent. Now I am unable to get customer care to ask airtel to discontinue this irritating calls and smses. I am helpless. I cannot do anything about it. only consumer court can help I think.
