I've had both Idea and Airtel numbers, and I would say Airtel is the superior one here. Why? Well, I've been using Airtel for 2 years now, and as a freelancer, clear and reliable communication is key for me. I haven't experienced any major call drops or signal losses, the connectivity is good, and the 4G is fast enough to allow me long duration video calls with clients. Apart from this, I had an issue where my recharge wasn't going through. I contacted Airtel's customer care, and they got it sorted within the day.
So, in my opinion, go for Airtel.
