I purchased a airtel magic prepaid card with Nokia handset under the Nokia+Airtel talk long offer after discontinuing my Tata Indicom walky connection. I get 100 sms free and 50 rupees bonus talktime(Airtel to Airtel) for 19 months on every recharges(due to which I opted for airtel).I found the service to be good.No Network problem or breakdowns in signal.It is improving a lot.There are some highway coverage problems but its okay and acceptable.It is not as good as IDEA in maharastra & goa but it is also not as worst like BPL Mobile.The only problem is that if you are not near to a road/highway and located somewhere in interior areas the signal strength is weak( but I never had a condition where there is no signal at all.I was able to recieve and accept calls ) else it works fairly in congested areas in cities also.The network is almost congestion free hence there are very less/no call drops.
In short I can say that it is not as excellent as Idea but it's good and acceptable
