I recently booked a Airtel DTH thru' their call centre and they mentioned that it will take them 2 days to service their request. From that point onward, they gave us frequent updates on the status of the request (SMS, phone calls). On the second day evening, everything was installed and worked perfectly fine. It was a pleasant surprise right thru' (especially after reading some of the comments in this website)!
The only thing to watch out for is the call centre person that you talk to. The first time we spoke the person didnt have much knowledge; but the second time fortunately for us, the person guided us perfectly fine.
