Airlift: Based on a true story but the movie never felt like a true story. A 15 minutes of prime time documentary over stretched to to 124 minutes of screen time.
Poor screenplay with unnecessary 3 songs, side characters and a side love story. Average Cinematography with very bad CGI. Nothing extraordinary from the Director's side but some good performances specially Akshay. Basically Akshay's part is the only thing to look for in the movie. The true incident was result of a ongoing war but the war in the movie felt so fake that everything else did not justify the whole story.
I highly respect the people who were fortunately or unfortunately became the part of the true incident but this movie was unable to pay proper tribute to the biggest refugee evacuation in the history.Over all an average movie, can be missed if you find any better movie to watch this weekend.
