i happened to travel to mumbai last week for official purposes. had originally booked ticekts in GO Airlines. the moment I reached delhi airport, I got a call from the airlines centre informing that the flight was cancelled and they wud book me on the next flight next morning(now, who can tell these guys that ppl going for some work may have planned lil spare time and therefore cannot afford a day's delay!). I politely refused their stupid offer and applied for refund(which is still due from their end, by the way!)
since I had to leave that evening itself, I tried booking in other airlines. it seemed as if everyone was just hungry to pounce one a customer who was in need to fly urgent. I heard all kinds of rates. from 7k to 10k! bull.!
then indian airlines happened, they offered a much cheaper ticket(though I must confess their ticket issue counter contained a bunch of non-interested guys trying to sell tickets). the ticket was however issued and I flew. infact not just flew, but reached almost in time while other airlines couldnt even take off. lazy bums.
till then I had never really trusted IA or AI, but this experience was quite good. infact the hostess was pretty hospitable and served tamarind sweets(i've a fetish fr it).
great effort IA, and I suggest everyone who is willing to travel at short notice to try this airline. the site URL for reference is:
