My household items were shifted from Hyderabad and delivered to Kolkata on 17th March vide GC number 4956763. It is found that a very important package(which contains the almirah parts) was missing in the delivered items.
I had to go through multiple phone calls for several days in order to connect with the concerned person(Mr. Chandrasekhar) who deals with missing items in the company. He took around 10 days of time to confirm that my missing item could not be located and they will process compensation. I was asked for estimation and I did provide INR 5K as the desired compensation amount as the almirah costs INR 42K and now finding replacement item/fixing will come-up accordingly.
However, I did receive mail confirmation after another 7 days(on 8th April) that only INR 2K has been approved as my compensation amount. I did share my bank account detail the next day i.e. 9th of April. But I still did not receive anything in my bank account. After multiple follow-ups with the concerned person, I got a vague timeline for the credit as this week. Earlier, I was promised that I should get the transfer by 22nd April but it was deferred later citing some operational issue. Not sure how much longer I have to suffer for this.
I have been using their services since 2012 and for 5 transports so far but this recent experience will definitely force me to think a lot before using their service again. Here I am attaching the GC copy and Item list where it is indicated(with a cross mark) that one box is missing.
