The software may be expensive (illustrator 9 is priced over rs. 30,000).However it's vector based image handling makes it the ideal software for photo enhancing.while it does not have as many features as it's main competator photoshop,it's ability to adjust or enhance pictures on a vector base not a normal pixel one assures the user of top quality enhancing/adjusting, without the normal loss of data which normally occures.
Illustrator 9 is accompnied by powerfull filters and adjust abilities which make it a powerfull photo adjuster tool.
All in all Illustrator can do 2 job's at the same time, ilustration and photo enhancement as powerfull as photoshop.
