Friends I have never seen a cricketer like gilchrist who has the abilility of high class keeping and along with the
ability of classical batting. According to christianity no man can be equal to but I think he is the christ of Australian
team atleast for the game of cricket. Since he came into their team from 1998 he really has acquired the grade of one of the important player
of the team. I think he is batsmen who can keep rather than a keeper who can bat which most of the other countries have I think at present he is the best keeper in the world.
Before him australia had the opening pair of Mark Taylor and Mark Waugh in which Waugh only had to bat aggressively in the first 15 overs whereas taylor would just play the
ground shot and would give stand, but Since it has been gilchirst with waugh as a opener all the aggression is done by him he has the ability to go after the bowler and devour them mentally
he has played some amazing knocks in the victory of his team as the one I remember that he played in a test match against the Indians at the Wankhede stadium recently in which his team was in a dreadful poisition and
then he steped in the ground as the Christ for them and hammered a wonderful ton even I was that match in the stadium and his strokes were just superb to watch that won him the man of the match award.
Besides batting he is really a great keeper which cannot be ignored as far as I remember I have never seen him dropping a catch and his ability to keep for the spinners is also good.
And all this great talent of his has won him the title as the Vice Captain of the team I sometimes compare him with Rahul Dravid who is also a very excellent classical batsmen who can keep and also in a very short career he has won himself the
same title.
Atlast I would like say that he is a excellent batsmen but certainly not as Tendulkar and few other but being a keeper, and I think this just a start for him and he is going to be something great for the years to come.
