Robin Cook is the Master of Medical thrillers. Acceptable Risk is his latest work. It is a science fiction thriller accompanied by sorcery, fear and excitement making it a hair raising tale.

Reading this novel gives an insight regarding the non-stop research that goes on to develop drugs. Acceptable Risk sort of warns us to be careful while taking any kinds of drugs (say as steroids or as psychotropic drugs). This novel jolts us back to reality about the problem of developing a culture that thinks there is a pill for everything.

Cook has laid the foundation of this book from the roots of the ancient witchcraft affair at Salem. The lead then moves of to the current generations. There are two main characters in this novel (Kimberly Stewart & Edward Armstrong). With millions of dollars at stake Edward (a scientist) believes he ahs hit the jackpot by discovering a latest drug. But there is lot more to it than anyone could have imagined. In order to find out what it is, all you have to do is go ahead and read this novel.
