I took home loane (All smiles) from ABN Amro. I have very very very worst experience. STAY AWAY from ABN AMRO. The direct selling executive whom I was interacting to get the loan promised me all under the sky. As soon as the loan is sanctioned and he got his commission, he vanished.
There is no professionalism from top to bottom in the bank. The interest rate was increased from 7 to 12.5% for me, very close to paying double the amount I was promissed. Threre is no transperancy, no online facility for home loan, so you wont know how much you have paid and how much has gone to the principal. Attrition rate is very very high, every time you will meet a new person and have to repeat the story (better record your cribbing in a tape and hand over)
GUYS, Please go for our local Indian banks (State bank of India, LIC, Canara etc) for any hefty loans. I am not saying the service will be better there, but atleast our interest goes to our own country banks, NOT to the International looters.
